*AI automation for mid-sized companies*

# I only promise what I can build myself.

For ten years I was the client and watched projects get stuck at the interfaces. Today I build myself: with n8n I connect your systems, automate processes and put AI agents to work. With Softr I build portals. Inside your systems.

*Why projects fail*

## Promising is quick. Building comes later, or not at all.

![Florian Fürst explaining a use case to the audience at Berlin AI Day 2026](/img/florian-berlin-ai-day-logo.webp)

When Frankfurt School relaunched its website, a project worth €250,000, I sat on the client side. Sales and design presented ideas we loved. The developers were not in the room. Months later we heard: we can't build it like that.

Projects like that cost you three times:

- **Time** You wait for others to deliver.
- **Money** You never know whether the price matches the work.
- **Nerves** What was meant gets lost between the business unit, IT and the provider.

It is rarely a lack of effort. What is missing is the order: first the processes, then the data, then AI.

<!-- section: build tint cards steps -->

*What I build*

## “There's no interface for that.”<br> Yes, there is. I set it up.

### Integrations

CRM, ERP, email, spreadsheets and portals exchange data. Older, in-house software too.

### Automations

Recurring processes run on their own and stay traceable.

### AI agents

They sort requests, prepare replies and check documents. When a person takes a look, we decide.

### Portals

Customers and staff work in a portal of their own on your data, built with Softr.

## 1NCE: A team of AI agents for first-line support

Since early 2026 I have been the n8n expert in 1NCE's AI Transformation Squad. AI agents answer requests by email and customer portal, in several languages. When the AI is unsure, supervisors at 1NCE check.

- **A fraction** of the former 32 hours of waiting
- **Almost €2 million** a year less spent on an external provider, on the way there

> Florian, thank you for an outstanding six months. Fully automating our first-line support […] was a huge step for 1NCE. It also showed everyone what AI-supported workflow automation can do for a business at real scale. It was a pleasure working with you!
>
> Stephan Klink, 1NCE

[The full story](/en/work#1nce)

1. **Request** by email or customer portal, in several languages.
2. **Triage agent** recognises topic and language and passes the request on.
3. **Six specialist agents** draw on the knowledge base and all systems of record and write the reply.
4. **The AI decides** and checks how confident it is. Confident: the reply goes out. Unsure: a person checks it first.
5. **Second level** receives, with all the information, whatever the first stage cannot solve.

*Case study · la marchante GmbH*

## First the overview, then the automation.

![Logo of the TeeFee drinks brand: Gutes trinken.](/img/logo-teefee.webp)

The company behind the TeeFee drinks brand wanted to know where automation pays off for its small team. The team captured its processes itself, in a portal I built for it. That became a roadmap. Next come two AI agents: for the cash flow forecast and for marketing.

![Marco Rühl, founder and managing director of la marchante GmbH, laughing at an orange table](/img/marco-ruehl.webp)

> Florian built us a portal in which we captured all our processes ourselves, in one place, without long workshops. That alone was worth it for us. Then he assessed every process, checked our tools and told us honestly where automation with AI helps and where it does not. Next, we are building two AI agents with him, for the cash flow forecast and for marketing, and my team is learning to run them itself.

*About me*

## I'm not a developer. I solve problems.

For ten years I led large digital projects at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, led teams and managed service providers.

At some point I didn't want to wait anymore. Today I build myself, with n8n, Softr and Claude Code. And I show on stage how it's done.

*Coming up*

- **11 November 2026, Mannheim:** talk on Zeitgeist at the Claude Code Meetup hosted by Accenture

*Frequently asked questions*

## What managing directors ask me

### What is n8n?

A platform that connects software and automates processes. Open source, it can run on your own servers. What I build with it belongs to you.

### What is Softr?

A platform for portals and internal applications, without programming them from scratch. For example, a customer portal in which customers see their orders or work out prices. I am a Softr Certified Partner and won the Softr Build Week in 2025.

### Can I use n8n in a GDPR-compliant way?

Yes, if it is set up right. No tool is compliant across the board. You can run n8n yourself, for example in a data center in Germany. What matters is which services a workflow uses, such as which AI model, and whether data processing agreements are in place. We clarify that in the readiness check.

### What does an AI automation cost?

The AI readiness check costs a fixed €2,900, a first AI automation starts at €9,500, both plus VAT. After the check you know exactly what your implementation costs, before you decide.

### Our system is old and built in-house. Will it still work?

Often, yes. If a system has an interface, n8n can talk to it. If not, there are ways via the database, files or email. Sometimes the honest answer is: the system needs to be modernized first. I will tell you that too.

### What happens if you are not available?

The workflows run in your systems, not mine. Every solution is documented, and your team learns to run it. And n8n is widely used: any other n8n professional can pick it up.

### What does this mean for my staff?

Less retyping, searching and chasing, more time for customers and decisions. Your team sees what the AI does and can step in at any time. Where it makes sense, I already talk to the people who run a process today during the readiness check.

### Do we need our own developers?

No. Your team needs someone who understands and looks after the workflows. The handover takes care of that.

### What is the difference between an automation and an AI agent?

An automation follows fixed rules: if this happens, do that. An AI agent makes its own decisions within a defined frame, for example which topic a request belongs to. Almost always, the automation comes first.
