*About me*

# I'm Florian Fürst. I used to commission the work. Now I build it myself.

For ten years I led digital projects at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and managed the service providers. Today I do the work myself, and pass on how it's done.

*Switching sides*

## Ten years on the other side of the table

From 2014 to 2024 I was at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, first as Website Manager, then as head of the Digital Media team, and finally as Digital Experience Manager. I selected and managed service providers, led teams and mediated between business units and IT.

Three projects shaped me:

- **The website relaunch, €250,000.** In the first presentations, the service provider promised things its developers later could not build. Since then I only promise what I can build myself.
- **Lecture halls with video conferencing technology during lockdown, €350,000.** Almost alone on campus, a few weeks before the semester started, with technology that did not yet exist in that form. I was in charge and coordinated the service providers. It worked.
- **A virtual campus, €150,000.** At the topping-out ceremony, guests stood in the shell of the building and, thanks to VR headsets, could move through the finished building. Later, the 3D model was used to create an interactive experience for online events.

What often held me back through all of this: when it came to the actual building, I always depended on someone else, on service providers or on IT.

*Today*

## I'm not a developer. And I build anyway.

For a long time I thought interfaces were something for developers. Then I got into them and realized: it's not rocket science. You need curiosity, persistence and the will to really solve a problem.

Today I build with n8n, Softr and Claude Code. If a solution needs an interface, I set it up. With AI at my side, I always have an expert I can ask. I pass this freedom on: to teams that run their automations themselves, and to the people I coach.

*How I work*

## Three things you can rely on

### I speak both languages

I understand what your business unit needs, and what is technically possible. I translate before misunderstandings get expensive.

### Foundation first, then AI

First the interfaces, then the automation, and AI agents last. Starting with the last step means building on sand.

### You become independent

What I build runs in your systems and is documented. Your team learns to run it. Afterwards you don't need me anymore, and you are still welcome to call.
